I'm very pleased to say that I'd recommend this camera to anyone looking for an affordable Digital SLR camera. With the Nikon D60 the date can be imprinted if you desire in the lower right hand corner of print as you shoot. Pretty much everything you would normally associate with the DSLR's are there. You'll find a super selection of choices for your manual modes, programmed modes, and even the automatic modes.
